First off, I need to know what the lower skirt on the rear saddlebags is called, mines busted up pretty bad and I'm going to need a new (to me) one. Second, I figured out at least part of the reason my adjustable rear suspension wasn't adjusting, the switch isn't hooked up. The sticky part of this for me is that I don't see any connections under the side fairing that it could connect to. I took everything off of that side and haven't found anything. I'm looking through fiche files and not finding it in a way that is understandable (or any way for that matter). Help! Thanks

That skirt is aftermarket. (Markland, maybe?) Going to be hard to find, but keep watching Ebay. I have a friend that may throw his away, next time it comes off. That one under trunk is a bunch of trouble, too. The wiring for that switch has to be in there, somewhere. Must have fell down in the bowels. The switches usually give trouble with a long idle period, so a po may have given up, and didn't re-connect. The switches usually can be taken apart, and burnished with course paper (not sandpaper, or even a thin piece of plastic. I don't like to use abrasives on contacts, as the silver is very thin, as it is.

Still digging - I think I made it to "the place where nothing is" and still haven't found anything that looks like a plug (or even loose wires for that matter). I've come to a conclusion - if I ever manage to get the PO's fubars fixed, this is going to be a decent motorcycle. I think putting "things" back to as stock as possible before re-farkling would be the best way to go - he put way to many lights on this thing (I think he disconnected things he didn't think were necessary to wire some of these lights up with - I also discovered an air horn set-up inside the fairing). Anyone have a spare 1500 they don't need?

I think you have the right idea, I've done that to every old vehicle I've owned. Get rid of all the junk that doesn't work, has parts missing or was poorly installed. Returning a bike to stock or close to it is a good starting place. In my opinion, but not everyone's, I like a 'Wing pretty close to stock. I don't mind adding things that give better performance, safety or convenience but don't like a lot of glitterati. That's why I have air horns, head and brake light modulators, Progressive fork springs and shocks, added a 12V outlet in the left cubby, and added a GPS mount. Not a lot of decor additions.

Aladinbama, the tupaware was off mine when i got it I thought the wire conector for my compressor was gone to but I kept diging I found it its a pretty long wire mine was behind the fan housing on right side hanging down past the fan along the frame tucked inbetween frame and engine the frame taped up with electrical tape the po did not replace relay ihave and it works its a brown 6 wire conector that plugs in to the back of the air pump lower raise switch panel it was very hard to see being the color it is and in black harness sleve to. good luck happy hunting
